Q: How do I secure my spot on the retreat?
A: Upon submission of your registration form, a non-refundable deposit of $400 is required to secure your spot. A secure payment link will be provided to you within 24 hours of registration. Your remaining retreat balance is due at least 45 days prior to the start of the retreat - May 19th, 2025. Payment plans are available.

Q: How may guests will be attending the retreat?
A: To maintain the integrity of this intimate immersive experience, the retreat will be limited to ten attendees. Most rooms are double occupancy, with very limited solo rooms. Guests in double occupancy rooms will be matched according to interests indicated on their registration forms.
Q: Is airfare included in the retreat cost?
A: International airfare is not included. Participants are responsible for booking their flights to Belize International Airport.
Q: How do I get from the airport to the retreat location?
A: The price of the retreat includes roundtrip transportation from Belize International Airport to our accommodations in Hopkins. Local transfers to activities during the retreat are also included in retreat pricing. Both Hopkins Village and Maya Centre Village are very walkable and, when not walking, most locals get around on bicycles or golf carts.
Q: Can dietary restrictions or preferences be accommodated?
A: Yes, we will do our very best to accommodate dietary needs. Please be sure to specify any dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences in your registration form.
Q: Is travel insurance required for the retreat?
A: While not mandatory, we highly recommend travel insurance to cover any unexpected events before or during the retreat.
Q: How do I connect with other participants before the retreat?
A: Once you have secured your spot, you'll be added to a private WhatsApp group for attendees to connect, share information, and prepare for the retreat together.

Q: What language is spoken in Belize?
A: English is the official language of the country, making communication a breeze for visitors. More generally, you’ll hear the locals speaking Belizean Kriol (Creole).
Q: What currency is used in Belize?
A: The Belize Dollar (BZD) is the official currency. The fixed exchange rate is 2BZD = 1USD. US dollars are widely accepted, but it's advisable to have some local currency. ATMs are available and can be used while visiting. Be sure to check with your financial institution.
Q: Do I need a visa to travel to Belize?
A: With a valid US passport, you do not need to apply for a visa to enter Belize, and may visit for up to 30 days. When preparing to travel to Belize, be sure you have your plans to exit the country to avoid any issues. Mystic Retreats will support you to ensure you have everything needed to complete required customs documents upon arrival.
Q: Are there any cultural considerations I should be aware of?
A: Belize is a beautifully diverse country. We encourage and expect our guest to exercise cultural respect. The Belizean community is very friendly and welcoming. Respecting local customs, such as saying "Good morning/afternoon/evening" when entering a room, is appreciated.
Q: Can I extend my stay in Belize beyond the retreat dates?
A: Of course! You are welcome (and encouraged) to extend your stay. Please be sure to keep us updated on your plans in case transportation shifts are needed. If needed, Mystic Retreats can provide you with custom travel planning for the time you'd like to extend your visit, whether you continue exploring Hopkins or any other destination in Belize.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel my participation?
A: Please be sure to contact mystic@marysol.world immediately should you need to cancel. Please be advised that your $350 deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations made 75 days or more before the retreat start date will receive a full refund, minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made between 45 and 74 days before the retreat start date will receive a 50% refund, minus the $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 45 days of the retreat start date are not eligible for a refund.
